Adoption Info

The GAF Northeast chapter serves Delaware, and Pennsylvania
as well as some areas in New Jersey and New York.

Have initial questions about adopting? E-mail adoptions@adoptagrey.org.

All adoptions through our organization begin with the adoption application and a conversation. The information you give us about yourselves and your lifestyle enables us to better select a greyhound that will fit well in your home.

We do a home visit to be sure you, the greyhound, your existing pets and our representative are all comfortable with the selection. We have made a lifetime commitment to each greyhound that comes into our program and we ask that you do the same.

Our return rate is extremely low. We feel this is because we know each of our foster greyhounds very well and his/her personality and needs. Living with a greyhound should be a joyful experience for everyone. Our efforts try to insure the best possible placement for all.

All of our dogs have been spayed or neutered, all vaccines have been given, they are checked for heartworm and parasites and any medical condition found has been treated. No dog will be adopted out until we feel they are medically and emotionally ready to go to their new home.

We will be in close contact with you during the first few weeks after we place your greyhound with you. We are available for all questions and will help you work through any issues which may arise after placement while your greyhound is transitioning to its new home.

Please visit our available greyhounds!
